Chaan Thai in Paddington is a fantastic local spot for authentic Thai flavours. The food is fresh, well-balanced, and generously portioned. Highly recommend the stir-fried clams with chilli & Thai basil, the crispy pork belly with kailan(Chinese broccoli) crispy yet juicy, and the prawn glass noodles, which were aromatic and comforting. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere make it a place we’ll happily return to.

Lovely, friendly staff and seriously flavourful food. I had the beef Massaman curry with rice, paired with a refreshing Chang lager. The beef was beautifully tender and fell apart easily, and the Massaman sauce had an authentic, rich Thai flavour. To top it off, the atmosphere is lovely, with a fresh breeze, warm lighting, and relaxed, chill music ~ making it a great place to bring friends and family.

We went there at about 6pm and when we got there we got seated by an amazing staff that led us to our seat. We then proceeded to get the menus and order. When the first meal came out we all tried it and it was delightful. Then the rest came out and we all gave each other looks and I broke the silence and said it was delish. We quickly finished the large portions of the meals and were absolutely stunned on how good this new restaurant is. Would recommend and come again. Thanks, jenson!

My friend and I tried out their lunch sets and were very impressed with the authentic Thai taste and the value for money. Our pad see-ew and basil stir-fry came with our choices of drinks (we ordered Thai lemon tea). I asked for less sweet and it was perfect (they made it fresh, not out of the bottle). The service was also excellent. I will definitely go back to try more dishes there.

I had the pleasure of dining at Chaan restaurant. Omg! It was genuinely the best Thai I had ever had!! The food and service was amazing and bonus points their outdoor seating is dog friendly!!! 10/10 I definitely recommend

Superb food and experience here. Recommended all dises we tried especially paw paw salad (with anchovy sauce), Pad thai, prawn and crab rolls. Nice presentation and service too. Will definitely come back!

So good! Highly recommend the Massaman with mash potato, super rich and comforting. The Kailan crispy pork was amazing too, nice and crunchy. Great spot in Paddington with great service. Will definitely be back.

The beef massaman blew my mind! The beef was softer than my ex’s heart and the mash was smoother than my life choices 🤣 Every bite was a little therapy session — it was THAT good. If you need happiness, order this dish. You’ll thank me later.

I had Crab Curry at this place and it was the most amazing crab I ever tasted 🤤. Everyone who works there is super nice as well. Definitely recommend this place! Plus, Their view is so breathtaking! ❤️
